EQUIPMENT SALES AND CALIBRATIONS
As agents for Metrotest, we supply the AlphaPAT SupaPAT and accessories, as well as Calibration services.The AlphaPAT system fully databases all test results and provides a detailed asset list and spreadsheet of test results. The AlphaPAT is the only tester on the Australian market at the moment which also fully databases 3-phase tests, therefore eliminating any human error. It is cleverly able to test an IEC lead and a computer tower or monitor at the same time and will produce 2 separate ID tags thus reduces testing time and time pulling leads in and out. These machines are built to military standard and are extremely lightweight – the complete SupaPAT package weighs approximately 9kg which becomes an advantage for moving around in confined areas.
COMPLIANCE TRAINING
A1 Testing & Tagging Pty Ltd will train your staff to use the AlphaPAT (Portable Appliance Tester) to undertake testing of equipment and give comprehensive training in how to test and inspect electrical equipment in accordance with AS/NZS3760.Our training is thorough and includes some hands on experience as well as text book classroom style learning. Someone can be taught to use a PAT (Portable Appliance Tester) in a few minutes using a manual PAT – but this does not give them competency as required by the Standard.
THERMAL IMAGING
Infra-red thermal imaging is used for fault detection and the preventative maintenance of switchboards, and mechanical assets, e.g. motor-bearings. It can pinpoint hot-spots generated by faulty wiring or loose terminal blocks, etc.All these tests can be done while all your electrical and mechanical systems remain operative. Infra-red detection provides you with a service to reduce your down-time by identifying electrical/mechanical defects that could cause injury, fire or equipment failure.
APPLIANCE REPAIR
We can repair or replace most equipment, e.g. kitchen appliances, heating elements, water pumps, thermostats, microwave ovens, power tools, new leads - our specialty!We supply portable RCD's, extension leads fitted with RCD & surge protection in various lengths, supply racks to put your IT equipment in, and tidy up cables.
Light fittings can be repaired as well as any lighting that needs to be replaced, e.g. mercury vapour lamps or fluorescent lamps, these can be changed with the correct type for your situation or simply replaced when lamp-life has expired.
Our technicians carry Safety Harness's to comply with current regulations when working in high places.
